MANUFACTURING: Maintenance Technician II (Full Time),Turtle Creek, PA

We are looking for an experienced, self-driven, skilled maintenance technician to join our maintenance team. The team will be responsible for safely and effectively responding to maintenance requests from the manufacturing plant as well as performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on a range of production equipment.

Shift Time

Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Weekday overtime and occasional weekend work will be required at sporadic times throughout the year.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work safely and neatly
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues that arise during production activities in electrical or mechanical components of the system
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, examining parts for defects. 
  • Communicate effectively about completed work with senior managers in the facility
  • Remain flexible in situations that require creative solutions

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with circuitry, controls, relay logic, VFDs, and PLC I/O
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to make frequent trips walking to all areas of the manufacturing plant (up to 3 miles per day)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with an electronic work scheduling system
  • Experience with concrete manufacturing
  • Ability to read computer code for automated equipment

MANUFACTURING: Preventative Maintenance Technician (Full Time),Turtle Creek, PA

We are looking for an experienced, self-driven, skilled maintenance technician to lead our off-shift preventive maintenance team. The team will be responsible for safely and effectively performing scheduled preventive maintenance on a range of production equipment, and for working with the day shift personnel to complete unscheduled maintenance.

Shift Time

Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Weekday overtime and occasional weekend work will be required at sporadic times throughout the year.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work safely and neatly
  • Lead a team of two
  • Complete work to a set schedule and plan
  • Communicate effectively about completed work
  • Interface with an electronic work scheduling system
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise in electrical or mechanical components of systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, examining parts for defects.

MANUFACTURING: Production Assistant (Full Time),Turtle Creek, PA

TAKTL® is a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of custom concrete panels that are used on building exteriors and interiors worldwide. Panels are manufactured exclusively at our Turtle Creek facility using a proprietary Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) technology. TAKTL products have been chosen for commercial and institutional projects all over North America.

We are seeking production employees with all levels of experience who are interested in learning a new industry and building a career with a local company. Successful candidates are reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (shift hours may vary depending on assignment)

Potential Job Functions:

  • Move and lift molds, concrete panels, or other materials by hand or using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment
  • Operate casting, cutting, drilling and/or spraying machinery and equipment to support production processes
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings for custom panels
  • Use tools to measure panels, equipment, and parts
  • Record manufacturing data using computer (ERP) system
  • Clean and maintain work areas and equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant use of hands and arms in lifting, pushing, pulling, gripping materials
  • Exertion of sufficient force to lift, push, pull or carry objects
  • Walking up and down stairs, balancing, crouching and stooping
  • Standing for 8 or more hours every day
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs
  • Read and listen to instructions
  • Wear eye, hearing, hand and foot protection
  • Work in an industrial work environment which can be hot, cold, dusty, wet, and/or noisy
