Cutting and Drilling TAKTL panels are cut to size in-house on either our water jet or CNC bridge saws depending on the size and complexity of cutting required. Our panels will also be drilled for undercut or bolt through anchors to your specifications with automated drilling stations.
Field Cutting and Drilling In the event that field cutting is necessary, we have worked hard to make cutting, drilling, installation, maintenance, storage and transportation of our panels as easy and efficient as possible for you. TAKTL panels can be cut with standard equipment in the field – we recommend a wet saw with a continuous rim blade, keeping the panel surface uniformly wet during cutting, rinsing it thoroughly, and drying with compressed air. For any field drilling, we recommend wet drilling with glass or diamond bits, keeping the panel surface uniformly wet during drilling, rinsing it thoroughly, and drying with compressed air.
Crating and Shipping Custom crates are made to pack and ship our panels and products to eliminate damage or breakage and minimize shipping costs on a project by project basis. Crating and shipping costs can be estimated once a formal quote has been made.
Installation Installation of our panels is easy for any facade or panel installation professional. Depending on the type of project and substructure our panels can be installed by a variety of contractors in the construction industry.
Every aspect of a project is coordinated by a TAKTL project manager. Our project managers work with the design team to provide technical assistance, specification, early pricing and samples. They also work closely with contractors and installers for quoting, installation support and shipment schedules. Our managers are able to anticipate issues, collaborate with all team members, and support architects and contractors through a successful installation.
